Quarterback

Rationale |
 |
Trent Edwards
Buffalo Bills |
If it were still in doubt after winning 2 out of the last 3, J.P. Losman's rookie backup is now officially the starter. While he hasn't been a huge scorer in terms of fantasy points (yet), he has been efficient, calm, and collected in his first season so far. With upcoming matchups against the Jets, Bengals, and Dolphins in the next 3 weeks, now is the time to grab him. This week he faces the Jets, a team that allowed him to get 234 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT in their first meeting in Week 4.

 |
Brian Greise
Chicago Bears |
Since his first start where he threw 3 INTs, Greise has settled in and is averaging over 300 yards per game and 2 TDs per contest. That's acceptable fantasy numbers unless you own Tom Brady. Grab Greise if you need a spot starter or very solid backup.

Running Back

Rationale |

Jesse Chatman
Miami Dolphins |
After a tough training camp battle that had him nipping at Ronnie Brown's heels Chatman was essentially forgotten. Not any longer. Ronnie Brown's season ending knee injury means Chatman is now the primary back in Miami. Granted it's still Miami, the team that hasn't even reached rock bottom yet, but he has shown some ability to get it done in the preseason, and should get passable fantasy numbers by default. |
 |
Kenny Watson
Cincinatti Bengals |
Kenny came up huge this weekend with 3 TDs. With that kind of performance, Cincy may not rush Rudi Johnson back from his injury. This spells good things for Kenny owners. |
Wide Receiver

Rationale |
 |
Kevin Walter
Houston Texans |
While the Texans' passing game has fallen apart due to injuries (Andre Johnson and now Matt Schaub), Walter has been picking up some of the slack. Whether it's Sage Rosenfels or Schaub, he has quietly averaged 62 yards a game (160 and 97 in the last two) and has been a solid contributor in Johnson's absence. |
 |
Brandon Stokley
Denver Broncos |
With Javon Walker out for a while and Brandon Marshall getting busted for drinking and driving, Stokely is sure to see some increased playing time. He is a capable pro that can put up stats if given an opportunity to play. |
Tight End

Tony Scheffler
Denver Broncos |
Denver's FA TE acquisition, Daniel Graham, hasn't been the contributor the Broncos were hoping for when they went searching for a replacement to Shannon Sharpe. Instead it's been looking more and more like second year TE Tony Scheffler. He has been gaining the confidence of Jay Cutler and more importantly Mike Shanahan and therefore getting more looks in the last two week (10). Virtually invisible early in the season, he has now become a part of Denver's offensive game plan and could get some decent numbers as Denver has shown signs of improvement lately.

Cleveland Browns |
If you are going to paly the Browns this year, this is the game to do it. St. Louis is turning the ball over often and is having a very hard time putting points on the board. Lets not even start with the amount of sacks they give up. That being said, the Browns are a decent spot play this week. |
