Quarterback

Rationale |
 |
Kurt Warner
Arizona Cardinals |
The keys to the offense are now officially his now that Leinart is out for the season. He is a great pickup with Boldin and Fitzgerald at WR, just don’t expect him to last the entire season. This guys’ brains have been more scrambled than Trent Green and that’s never a good thing.

 |
Trent Edwards
Buffalo Bills |
Trent made some mistakes in the Dallas game but has already shown that he is the future of the Bills franchise and not JP Losman. Edwards is sure to play up and down this year due to his inexperience but with the right matchup could be a good fantasy play.

Running Back

Rationale |
 |
Ernest Graham
Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
Another week, another Buc RB goes down. Don't set your expectations too high for Ernest but hey...he's a starting RB |
 |
Deshawn Wynn
Green Bay Packers |
He may have been dropped in your league after a few lackluster outings, but on Sunday night he looked like the primary back Green Bay has been looking for. He carried the ball for 59 yards and a TD in the first half before leaving with cramps. He came back later in the game and ended up with 13 carries for 78 yards and a TD against the division rival Bears. Vernand Morency doesn’t look full speed yet, but should still see a majority of the 3rd downs, but as of now Wynn has the #1 job in Green Bay. |
 |
Mwelde Moore
Minnesota Vikings |
This is a bit preliminary but keep your eye on Mwelde. There are rumors swirling about him possibly being traded. Tampa is a potential suitor. |
Wide Receiver

Rationale |
 |
Dennis Northcut
Jacksonville Jaguars |
Now Jacksonville’s passing game isn’t anything to get excited about, but this Jaguar is becoming a familiar target to QB David Garrard. He broke out last week with a 75 yard 1 TD performance, and has averaged a little over 60 yards a game this season. If you’re thin at WR due to byes this week, take a flyer on Northcutt as he takes on a beatable Texans secondary. |
 |
Bobby Engram
Seattle Seahawks |
With Deoin Branch out for a few weeks, Bobby Engram seems to be the most legitimate threat in the Seattle passing game. Pick him up if you need a fill in for a few weeks. |
Tight End

Rationale |
 |
Greg Olsen
Chicago Bears |
He finally had his coming out party and should be a fixture on Chicago’s Griese-led passing game. He made several athletic catches against a pretty good defense, and looks 100% healthy. He won’t be as consistent as you’d like with Desmond Clark (also a former Bronco teammate of Griese) still in the mix, but he has the tools to be a productive fantasy TE in the Bears offense.

Defense/Special Teams

Rationale |

Tennessee Titans |
Tennesse's D is completely underrated anyways but this weekend in Tampa they are playing an opponent that is going to be nearly one dimensional. With Earnest Graham starting at RB, the Titans will be able to harrass Jeff Garcia often and focus on stopping Joey Galloway. |
