Season Buy Em'/Sell Em' List - Week #11 |
 |
The Buy Em' / Sell Em' is a piece we run each week that helps you to identify players that you should trade for (Buy Em') and those players that you should try to trade away (Sell Em'). You can really improve your roster throughout the season if you can buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. So check back here each week for a list of players that are prime targets to be bought and sold.

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Jeremy Shockey
New York Giants |
With the continued absence of Plaxico Burress from the practice field, Shockey is picking up the slack in the passing game with a lot of passes being thrown his way. Eli Manning is looking to him more to get critical first downs, and also to punch it in the end zone. The Cowboys couldn't contain him last week, and there aren't too many teams that can match up with him favorably for the rest of the season. |
 |
2 |
Chris Henry
Cincinnati Bengals |
Henry had a huge game in his first start post-suspension, and he will be a major contributor until his next suspension. With Houshmandzadeh playing at such a high level this year, it will be very difficult for opposing defenses to keep those two and Chad Johnson covered for long. |
 |
3 |
Ryan Grant
Green Bay Packers |
With the threat of Favre's passing, teams will not be able to stack the box against Grant, who has rushed for over 100 yards in 2 of the last 3 games. He's a big back that can carry the load all game, which is a fantasy dream. |
 |
4 |
Jessee Chatman
Miami Dolphins |
Chatman has been averaging over 5 yards a carry for the season, so it shouldn't have been all that surprising that once the Dolphins finally gave him 27 carries he rumbled for 124 yards. He's a powerfully built runner, and considering Miami's lack of other options, he is a solid option for fantasy owners. |
 |
5 |
Reggie Brown
Philadelphia Eagles |
Brown has had at least 50 yards in the last 4 games, which is amazing consistency given the up and down nature of his QB. He will continue to be a serviceable 2nd or 3rd option, depending on the matchup. |

Player |
Rationale |
 |
1 |
Philip Rivers
San Diego Chargers |
It seemeingly gets worse every week for Rivers. He has showed no development this year under an offensive minded coach in Norv Turrner. He has plenty of weapons and a good o-line so there is really no excuse for the kind of perforances he is putting up. |
 |
2 |
Alex Smith
San Francisco 49ers |
Speaking of no development, Smith has regressed. However, his situation is more dire than Rivers' because of the overall lack of talent at WR for him as well as having a poor o-line. Smith should be avoided like the plague.
|
 |
3 |
Shaun Alexander
Seattle Seahawks |
With Shaun, it seems to all come down to desire. He simply doesn't seem to have it. Until he gets that desire back (if he ever does) his value is minimal. |
 |
4 |
TJ Houshmanzadeh
Cincinnati Bengals |
TJ doesn't appear to be as great an option since teams have been able to put #1 corners and roll over double coverages on him in the absence and limited play of Chad Johnson. Without a fully healthy Ocho Cinco, his numbers are going to dip. |
 |
5 |
Calvin Johnson
Detroit Lions |
Does anybody else think that his rookie season is just ho-hum? He certainly doesn't impress me like Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch do. He looks slow to pick up the game and only rarely shows flashes of brilliance. |
