 |
The Buy Em' / Sell Em' is a piece we run each week that helps you to identify players that you should trade for (Buy Em') and those players that you should try to trade away (Sell Em'). You can really improve your roster throughout the season if you can buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. So check back here each week for a list of players that are prime targets to be bought and sold.

Player |
Rationale |
 |
1 |
Matt Hasselbeck
Seattle Seahawks |
With Shaun Alexander doing NOTHING, Hasselbeck is being forced to carry the load offensively. He is certainly doing so, and his fantasy value will continue to be high. He has shown great consistency in the last 3 games, passing for 2 TD's in each one as well as 2 - 300 yard outings. |
 |
2 |
Lee Evans
Buffalo Bills |
Evans has had some great games lately, and with Losman playing better than ever you have to expect his production to continue. Evans is Losman's favorite target, and his red zone opportunities are encouraging for fantasy owners. |
 |
3 |
Ben Roethlisberger
Pittsburgh Steelers |
With Willie Parker unable to punch it in at the goal line, and a very effective passing game overall this year, Roethlisberger's fantasy value is considerably higher this season. Maybe he is finally past the motorcycle accident trauma, because he seems much steadier against the pass rush and can deliver the ball. |
 |
4 |
Brandon Marshall
Denver Broncos |
With Denver getting used to playing from behind, Marshall is a constant target in their offense. He's averaging over 75 yards a game, with surprising consistency. He has the talent to get in the end zone, so grab him before he starts scoring more TD's. |
 |
5 |
Jerricho Cotcherry
New York Jets |
With Laveranues Coles hurt and a more effective starter at QB, Cotchery's value is increasing. He has big-play capability, and like Marshall, averages over 75 yards a game. With Pennington out in favor of Kellen Clemens, he is worth starting, especially on a matchup basis. |

|
Player |
Rationale |
 |
1 |
Jon Kitna
Detroit Lions |
Ever since the return of Kevin Jones, the Lions have been balancing the offensive load more. This means a downgrade to Kitna's value, which was gaudy early in the season. |
 |
2 |
Jamal Lewis
Cleveland Browns |
Don't be fooled. Jamal really didn't run very effectively last week. The fact that he had four short TDs, made him look rediculous in the stat column. If youcan offload him for a quality RB, I'd do so.
|
 |
3 |
Santonio Holmes
Pittsburgh Steelers |
The Steelers took advantage of a weakened secondary on Monday night and Holmes was HUGE. Don't forget that the primary receiver for Pittsburgh is not Holmes. Trade while the iron is hot. |
 |
4 |
Rudi Johnson
Cincinatti Bengals |
Some fool will think that Johnson will produce for the reaminder of the season but what they proably won't realize is how dead Rudi's agressiveness has been and how bad the run blocking has been for the Bengals. |
 |
5 |
Antonio Gates
San Diego Chargers |
Gates is still a great player, however, with the addition of a legitimate WR threat in Chris Chambers, Gates TD totals are sure to take a hit. TEs such as Kellen Winslow, Jason Witten, and Tony Gonzalez are producing at a high level and Gates is no longer above them. |
