Season Buy Em'/Sell Em' List - Week #7 |
 |
The Buy Em' / Sell Em' is a piece we run each week that helps you to identify players that you should trade for (Buy Em') and those players that you should try to trade away (Sell Em'). You can really improve your roster throughout the season if you can buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. So check back here each week for a list of players that are prime targets to be bought and sold.

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Chris Chambers
San Diego Chargers |
Chambers is a pro-bowl caliber receiver in the prime of his career, and he is being inserted into an already loaded offense with great options at all positions except WR. His numbers in San Diego should be excellent. He has missed only 2 games in his career, so injury is not a concern. |
 |
2 |
Philip Rivers
San Diego Chargers |
With LT, Gates, Vincent Jackson, and now Chris Chambers, Rivers will constantly have open targets. With LT active in the passing game, and now that the offense seems to be working again, Rivers is worthy of a starting spot. |
 |
3 |
Chris Cooley
Washington Redskins |
The Packers explicitly tried to stop Cooley as part of their game plan, and what happened? 9 receptions for 105 yards and a TD. And GB's defense is very good this year. Jason Campbell constantly looks to Cooley when he needs a first down, and it will pay off for fantasy owners. |
 |
4 |
Derrick Mason
Baltimore Ravens |
He has more than twice as many receptions as anyone else on the Ravens. One thing to watch is that the longer McNair stays hurt, the better the offensive production will be, and Mason will be a good option to start getting some TD's. |
 |
5 |
Eli Manning
New York Giants |
With Jacobs mostly healthy and solid backups, defenses can't key on Manning as much. Plaxico Burress has more than a TD per game, and with the resurgence of the running game, it will be even harder for defenses to stop the passing game. Surprisingly enough, Manning seems to be maturing well in the absence of Tiki Barber, and he is a good spot start or full time starter in deeper leagues. |

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Vincent Jackson
San Diego Chargers |
Now that Chris Chambers is coming to town, expect Vincent Jackson to play second fiddle. While his value is at it's peak, see if you can get somebody else to trade for him. |
 |
2 |
Cedric Benson
Chicago Bears |
He continues to be mediocre and keep his job. Simply amazing. 3.1 YPC in the NFL just simply doesn't cut it.
|
 |
3 |
Thomas Jones
New York Jets |
He ran for 130 last week and in the struggling New York Jets offense, I would imagine that 130 is about the peak for Thomas' value. |
 |
4 |
Matt Hasselbeck
Seattle Seahawks |
He doesn't get to play against the New Orleans every week so if you are expecting 362 yards passng each week, you have successfully set yourself up for dissapointment. |
 |
5 |
Wes Welker
New England Patriots |
With the emergence of Donte Stallworth, it is only a matter of fact that Welker's stats will dip. Most weeks, it's going to be Moss and Stallworth as the 1-2 receivers. Welker is overvalued even though he will continue to be a solid fantasy play. |
