Season Buy Em'/Sell Em' List - Week #4 |
 |
The Buy Em' / Sell Em' is a piece we run each week that helps you to identify players that you should trade for (Buy Em') and those players that you should try to trade away (Sell Em'). You can really improve your roster throughout the season if you can buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. So check back here each week for a list of players that are prime targets to be bought and sold.

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Thomas Jones
New York Jets |
Jones has shown steadily increasing production over the first 3 games, and he has shown himself to be capable of scoring fantasy points in seasons past. In Week 3, he rushed for 110 yards, and with the Jets gradually improving, he will get chances to score TD's soon. Grab him before he does. |
 |
2 |
Ronnie Brown
Miami Dolphins |
After rushing for only 65 yards in the first 2 games, Brown went crazy for over 200 total yards and 3 TD's in Week 3, including 99 receiving yards. Given his performance, you may think he is better suited for the Sell category since other owners will be high on him as well. However, I believe he will continue to produce at a high level this season, except when facing the Patriots. |
 |
3 |
Alge Crumpler
Atlanta Falcons |
Joey Harrington is beginning to master the Atlanta offense, and Crumpler is emerging as one of his go-to guys. Whether Harrington keeps the job or Byron Leftwich eventually takes over, Crumpler will put up solid numbers all year. |
 |
4 |
Anquan Boldin
Arizona Cardinals |
Boldin is quite possibly Arizona's best fantasy player, considering the matchup problems he creates against defenses and the sheer number of catches he makes. Boldin set the NFL record for the shortest time to 100 catches, and it's easy to see why when he continually comes up with 10+ reception games. He's a great pickup, especially if your league awards points for making a reception. |
 |
5 |
Vince Young
Tennessee Titans |
Execute this buy after this weekend's games, because Young has this weekend off. With his bye out of the way, you will get solid production (both rushing and passing TD's) uninterrupted for the rest of the season. Let him sit on someone else's bench this week, though. |

Player |
Rationale |
 |
1 |
Steven Jackson
St Louis Rams |
In case you haven't figured it out, the Rams offense is toast. His poor offensive line is one of the main reasons why. Every day the offensive situation in STL seems to get worse. |
 |
2 |
Drew Brees
New Orleans Saints |
He is getting killed behind a poor offensive line. That doesn't look to get any better any time soon unlerss they can learn to block in the bye week. |
 |
3 |
Plaxico Burress
New York Giants |
His ankle has been bothering him all pre-season and throughout the season. Looks like his injury is not going away any time soon. |
 |
4 |
Marc Bulger
St Louis Rams |
Broken ribs, terrible o-line, and no Steve Jackson are a terrible combination. |
 |
5 |
Patrick Crayton
Dallas Cowboys |
Tony Romo is probably not going to look for him much anymore judging off his performance the last 2 weeks. Get rid of him while you can. He's probably just sitting there sucking up one of your roster spots. |
