Season Buy Em'/Sell Em' List - Week #2 |
 |
The Buy Em' / Sell Em' is a piece we run each week that helps you to identify players that you should trade for (Buy Em') and those players that you should try to trade away (Sell Em'). You can really improve your roster throughout the season if you can buy low and sell high, just like the stock market. So check back here each week for a list of players that are prime targets to be bought and sold.

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Green Bay DEF/ST |
The Green Bay defense stymied McNabb all day, and essentially won the game on special teams with 2 fumble recoveries and a TD. Playing against the weak offenses of the NFC North, they won't have a great challenge within the division (except possibly the Mike Martz offense in Detroit). So far, they have scored more points than the GB offense. |
 |
2 |
Lamont Jordan |
Jordan had a decent week with 70 yards and a TD, and a 1,000 yard season with 8-10 TD's is a reasonable expectation for him. Jordan was still pushing himself hard at the end of last season despite Oakland's horrible record, so you can count on him to do the same this year. |
 |
3 |
Clinton Portis |
Despite getting an equal number of carries to Ladell Betts, Portis showed himself to be the more explosive runner, rushing for 98 yards and a TD on only 17 carries. Sharing carries might not be a terrible idea for Portis - it may help him to finish the season healthy. Washington's horrendous pass offense means that the load will be on Portis if they want to win. |
 |
4 |
Dallas Clark |
Though he had only 2 receptions for 48 yards, Clark got a lot of looks against the Saints, and he will continue to get a lot of looks throughout the season. With Indy's great receivers, he is frequently open in the red zone as well. If you don't have a stud at tight end, Clark will be a boost to your roster. |
 |
5 |
Brett Favre |
Farve had a poor Week 1 against Philly's pass defense, but this week he plays against the Giants secondary, which is in the running for worst in the NFL this year. Tony Romo lit them up for one of his best games ever last week, and with Eli Manning and Brandon Jacobs gone, the Giants won't be able to keep Favre off the field. |

Rationale |
 |
1 |
Eli Manning |
Everyone knows about his injury, so if you haven't tried to trade him to someone who thinks he'll be 100% when he comes back, SELL SELL SELL |
 |
2 |
Brandon Jacobs |
From what I saw before he got injured, he's NOT the real deal. He's too big, runs too high, and will always be hurt. I wouldn't want him on my team unless he starts getting all the goal line carries. SELL SELL SELL |
 |
3 |
Alex Smith |
He looked bad behind a bad offensive line against the Cardinals. Until the line gets better he might not be a good fantasy starter. SELL SELL SELL
|
 |
4 |
Darrell Jackson |
He was expected to be no less than the second passing option for Alex Smith but it seems he's taking a backseat to Arnaz Battle. SELL SELL SELL |
 |
5 |
Joey Harrington |
If you bought into the preseason hype, shame on you.
